New Procurement Thresholds

The new procurement thresholds, which came into effect on 1 January 2018 for contracts regulated by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016 and the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016, have recently been published.

The new values are set out below. All values are exclusive of VAT

  1. Thresholds for contracts regulated by the Public Contracts Regulations 2015:
    - Supply and services contracts (central government) £118,133
    - Supply and services contracts (non-central government) £181,302
    - Works and subsidised works contracts £4,551,413
    - Social and other services contracts falling within the "Light Touch Regime" £615,278
  2.  Thresholds for contracts regulated by the Utilities Contracts Regulations 2016:
    - Supply and services contracts and design contracts £363,424
    - Works contracts £4,551,413
    - Social and other services contracts falling within the "Light Touch Regime" £820,370
     
  3. Thresholds for contracts regulated by the Concession Contracts Regulations 2016:
    - Concession contract £4,551,413
